THE CATCHING AWAY
1Thessalonians 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1Thessalonians 4:10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
1Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1Thessalonians 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
Brothers, we are taught and commanded to love one another. We are told here to increase more and more in brotherly love in these last days in which we live. We are told in verse 12 above that we must walk honestly toward them that are without, those who are yet lost and unsaved. God will see that we have lack of nothing as we witness the truth of his Holy Word unto those that He loves just as He loved us when we were yet lost.
Brothers, God tells us here in verse 13-15 above that, He would not have us to be ignorant concerning our brothers who have gone to be with the lord before this catching away which is to come. He tells us that even though their earthly bodies do sleep in this day, their souls and spirits are with the Lord in heaven. He tells us that the Lord Jesus will bring these sleeping earthly bodies with Him when He catches away His living church, those of us who yet live at the time of His appearing.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
Praise God! All who have believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and will forever be with Jesus and the Father.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
We will escape the great tribulation of seven years here on earth. This tribulation will begin as soon as we the church are caught up to meet Jesus in the air and return with Him to heaven.
Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
Brothers, please busy yourselves by going about doing God's work. Witness to the lost, and lead them to Jesus while there is still time, that they may escape the tribulation to come.
God Bless you my brothers in Christ Jesus.
