BY THE LORD OUR GOD
Hebrews 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
( Brothers do not faint nor grow weary when trials or tribulations come upon you. For verse 6 says it all. The Lord our God will chastise his children whom he loves.
Wow! Know this, that He loves you. Stand strong in your faith as he builds you up unto the child of God, that He wants you to become). Glory to God!
Hebrews 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
(Brothers we are being delt with as our earthly fathers would deal with us, because they loved us. Not because they hated us. God says here, that if he will chastise us, it is because he loves us. If he does not chastize us then we are to him as bastards, and not his children. By his chistisement we know that we are His ).
Hebrews 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
( Chastisement by our God is for our profit, our growth as his children ).
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
( All chastening, as we are going through it, is not joyous, but painful. But, afterward we will yield peaceable fruit, by growing in our faith and in the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, of His word in our lives ).
Brothers, on this website is a page entitled Healing.
This page is my own testimony of coming through, the Lord my God's chastening, in my own life, and that of my wife Kathy's.
