EVIL MEN OF THE LAST DAYS

Brothers, here we are told how evil man will be in the last days. As you read the following verses allow yourself to see how that all that was said about the men of the last days are now present, and that nothing is listed that we do not see in this day.

2Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

2Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2Timothy 3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

Brothers, we are told in these nine verses of Chapter 3 of 2Timothy that the evil men of this day do exemplify all of the above listed characteristics. We now live in the last days, and there are many who are asleep and do not heed the warning that we are given here. We are told very plainly here that men shall become all of these things, and in verse 5 we are told: 'from such turn away'.

Please recall God's word which tells us that when Christ shall appear to catch away his church that half shall be found sleeping. Not watching for his appearing. Read the following parable given by God the Father from the Book of Matthew Chapter 25.

1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

  8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Now see in 2Timothy 2:19-26 what we as sons of God are to do.

2Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

  2Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

 2Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

 2Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 2Timothy 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

 2Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

 2Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

  2Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Watch and be ready my brothers for the hour of Jesus' appearing is fast approaching. Be ready, and turn away from all of the evil of this day, in which we now live. Do not be caught in the snare of the devil who is using the devises of this day to deceive the world and those Christians who are not ready and watching for His soon appearing.

God Bless you my brothers, please be the silver and gold tried in the fire.
