Mark 11:22 ---, 'Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Brothers, Jesus said here, in verses 23, that we could cast any mountain that came into our lives into the sea. He said that if we did not doubt in our heart, but believe in our heart, that those things which we say shall come to pass, that we shall have whatsoever we say.
1. Please see here that believing what we say is required of us.
Jesus says again here in verse 24, that those things that we desire to come to pass when we pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
2. Again, Jesus repeats himself, he says that we must believe and then we shall have them.
He tells us twice in these two verses of Mark 11, that we are to believe first and then what so ever we ask of God will be ours.
Jesus tells us in verse 25 that when we pray, we are to forgive everyone who has ever wronged us. Do you see that before we can receive, by our faith, we must first, forgive everyone, just as God has forgiven us. Forgiveness by us, is required by God, in order to receive answers to our prayers.
3. Forgive first if you have ought against any, and then you shall have what ever you ask of God.
He promises us here that all things that we pray will be ours if we forgive first. God forgave us, and he expects you to do the same. Forgive! Then believe that we receive.
What is forgiveness?
Why must we forgive?
Brothers forgiveness is an act of LOVE. We must love everyone as God loves everyone. You know that God loved us before we were made righteous by Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. He loved us when we lived in sin, and He loves those who are lost this day just as he loved us when we were lost.
It has been said that "Love is too Faith, as a Rod is to a Curtain"
I like this example.
Can you see by this example that a CURTAIN will fall to the floor if not for the ROD!!!
So to will your FAITH fall to the floor, if it does not hang on LOVE.
Brothers, our faith must hang on love. We have love by forgiving each other and everyone. Without love our faith will fail us. Our prayers will not be answered if we do not forgive.
If we forgive, then love is in us, then we believe that we receive what so ever we pray, and Jesus promises us here that we shall have what so ever we pray for. 'WOW'!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS PROMISE!
LOVE = FORGIVENESS AND FORGIVENESS = LOVE.
FAITH = RECEIVING.
FORGIVE, BELIEVE, and then we RECEIVE.
This is what we are to do. We forgive first, then we believe God's promise and we receive what ever we pray for. God changes not, he will perform his word. He said it, and that settles it.
Brothers, stay in God's Word, and walk in love, and be blessed!
God Bless you my brothers,
