FORGIVE, 'IT'S A COMMAND'

Let's look at Mark 11:24-26 ---
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Brothers, we as children of God are commanded to forgive our brothers and all others who have trespassed against us. This means everyone of all things. We are told plainly here that if we don't forgive neither will our Father forgive us, verse 26.

Do you hope for your heavenly Fathers forgiveness. Yes we do, as a matter of fact we expect it because he has promised to forgive us. He will forgive us, but not if we don't forgive.

You see brothers, now that we have been born again by the precious blood of Jesus, who died for us and our sins. We are now held to a higher standard, a standard that Jesus himself set for us. We are now to be Christ like in our daily walk through this life, we are to forgive as he forgave us.

This forgiveness is required by us. It is not an option. We are not to walk as this lost world walks, because Jesus has paid the price for us to be as he is.

Matthew 9:1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
Matthew 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
Matthew 9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
Matthew 9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Matthew 9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
Matthew 9:7 And he arose, and departed to his house.

Jesus knew the thoughts in the hearts of the scribes. Know that he knows also your thoughts in your heart. He knows whether or not you forgive. You can not pretend to forgive and not mean it, for he will know what is in your heart.

Matthew 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Brothers, our love is made perfect, because as Jesus is, so are we in this world. It is impossible to love your brother and neighbor and not forgive them. Jesus was and is love, and so to are we to be in this world.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

We have professed to be of Christ Jesus. We must be as he was in love, mercy and forgiveness!

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

We are judged by our brothers and the lost world by our actions. You have heard that your actions speak louder than words.It is true, we can not speak badly of anyone and then expect to be accepted by our actions, which show us to be a hypocrite.

2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Praise God my brothers in Christ Jesus. We have been reconciled to Jesus Christ, we are a new creature, old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new. We are not who we use to be when we were lost and without Jesus. We are made new in Him.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and he uses people to do this. Don't allow him to use people to take away your love and forgiveness that God has commanded that you walk in here on this earth.

God Bless you my brothers,

John Hipp
