GODS COVENANT WITH US
2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
God promises to us here in, that by these promises you and I should be partakers of the nature of himself. We as born again children of God have escaped the corruption that is in this world in lusting after the things of this world. We brothers, are to walk Christ like through this world doing good, and living as Jesus lived, partakers of the nature of Jesus himself.
2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2 Peter 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Besides this we are to give all diligence to add to our faith - virtue; and add to our virtue - knowledge; and add to our knowledge - temperance; and add to our temperance - patience; and add to our patience - godliness; and add to our godliness - brotherly kindness; and add to our brotherly kindliness - charity which is LOVE.
If we do all these things, and these things abound in us, they make you and I to never be barren or unfruitful in knowledge which will be given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God!
Brothers we are to seek to be all of these things listed above. By faithfully walking in these things we will be made to abound in the fruit to perform our assignment given by knowledge from our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are told to be diligent in adding these eight Godly gifts unto our lives. This means keep trying every day to walk in these gifts. We may not attain all of these in one day, one week, or even one month or year. But, we are to be diligent every day in seeking to make these things part of our life. My brothers, by attaining these traits of Jesus himself we will walk in the performance of our duties, and assignment, even as Christ himself performed these things while he was a man here on earth.
Please recall that when Jesus was on this earth he was a man just like we are. He did not perform miracles as God, but he performed those miracles as a man who was given the knowledge of God because He walked in these same gifts that we are told here can be ours.
Brothers, please recall that Jesus said, 'I only speak what I hear my Father say, and I only do what I see my Father do.'
Jesus was teaching you and I that when we were saved then we to can do what the Father tells us to do, and we can speak what the Father says because He has come to reside inside you and I who have invited the Holy Ghost of God the Father to live inside both you and I.
2 Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath that he was purged from his old sins.
Those of our brothers who lack the above things in their life have forgotten that they were purged from their old sins, and have once again become blind as the lost world is blind, and goes about seeking his on lusts as the world does.
Brothers, those who are saved by the blood of Jesus and have not asked Jesus to send the Holy Spirit of God the Father to live inside each of us can not know what a great and powerful gift that Jesus has given to us.
Please ask Jesus to send the Holy Spirit of God to live inside you. Brothers you will then know ALL truth about ALL things. You will never again fall if you listen to what He is telling you, and if you do what He shows you to do.
This lost and dying world will be under you feet. For the Lord our God will lift us up, and you will walk in the Kingdom of God until Jesus comes for us.
Praise God!! Remember to mount up as wings of eagles. The eagle fly's way above this world and Jesus promised you and I that we to can fly as the eagle does.
2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Peter 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Brothers, if we go about abounding in the above promises from God in diligence to make your calling and election sure, by doing these things you and I shall never fall.
Glory be to God! This is a promise from God that we will not ever fall. Do you see here that He does not say that we might not fall. He says that we shall never fall.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Brothers, if you need wisdom about anything, then in faith ask God who has all wisdom about everything. God says to you here that he will liberally give to you his wisdom, and will not withhold any wisdom that you desire.
"Wow!" Once again here, as in 'Lesson #2', God has confirmed again a covenant to us that if we ask wisdom in faith that he will tell us and or show us all things that we desire to know. Grasp this promise made to you right now brothers. Take hold of his wisdom and walk in it.
In James 1:6 He tells us to ask in faith and nothing wavering. This means to not doubt his word and promise that he just made to you. By faith ask for wisdom knowing that you will be given it because he just told you in vs 5 that he would give all wisdom to you that you desired, and would withhold nothing from you.
He is saying here brothers that we as his children are to always believe ALL of what he says. God can not lie. We know therefore that everything that he tells us in his Holy Word will come to pass, always, if we walk in faith. Do not doubt!
Brothers, I some time wonder how that it is that some Christians can accept completely their salvation by Jesus' death, burial, and resurection, and seemingly believe very little else that God told us which was recorded here in the Bible which is his Holy Word. This book is filled with God's promises to us. By faith we receive salvation, and by faith we are to receive every promise made by God to us. Take it, and keep it brothers. God did not stumble at his promises made to you and you should never stumble at His promises.
Always walk in faith with nothing wavering.
Believe and receive all that he has promised us. Speak his promises aloud, having faith that what he said he will do. When you speak, BELIEVE WHAT YOU SPEAK, and it shall come to pass. Remember that with faith you can speak God's word with the same authority that Jesus did while he was a man just like us here on this earth. Jesus is our example.
It is not us who will bring this about, but rather God's Word which does the work. Go back and read Genesis Chapter 1 again if you need to. You will see that God spoke everything into being. His spoken word went about doing all of the work to make what God said would be.
His word will do the work in your life also, when you speak his promises that he made to you.
Jesus said in Mark 11:22 ; "Have faith in God". Speak his promises to you, and let his word do all of the work. Verses 23-25 of Mark 11 shows us the kind of faith what we must walk in each and every day.
Brothers, have faith in God's Word. Do not let some misinformed man or denomination keep you from God's promises that he freely has given you through His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Those men did not believe ALL of God's word.
So separate your selves from unbelievers that teach salvation, but very little else of the bible. Ask God to teach you ALL of His word, and he will.

God spoke this into existence.
You will speak his promises, and that too will come into existence.
When you do not doubt, then God's word brings it about.
