Our road may not be straight, but we can maneuver it with Jesus!
God's Covenant, Lesson #5
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
God the father gives us all wisdom and understanding. Here his word tells us that it is Christ Jesus who passes unto us knowledge. Through that knowledge we will know the love that Christ Jesus has for us. In this knowledge we will be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Your inner man, which is your spirit, will be strengthened and made mighty by God's very on Spirit. He will grant unto us the riches of His glory. We need this strength to do the work that He has given us to do. Only you can do this task, and if you don't, then it will be left undone my brothers. Your strength to complete this task will be given by God himself to your inner man, your spirit, by His Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Brothers, Jesus lives inside us if we are saved. Our physical body is not our only body. We have an inner body which is our spirit. That inner body has a mind, and it has a heart. This is the body of Christ, His Church, the body that will be resurrected just as Jesus' was, when He appears to take us home to Heaven.
Do you see that this inner body, our spirit is where both Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God dwells inside you. It is this body which receives it's strength from the Holy Spirit. It is this body which is given the knowledge of Christ Jesus. It is this inner body that receives the wisdom of God that we might gain His understanding as we read and study His holy word.
He tells us in His word that He will never leave nor forsake us. Our inner man is strengthened as we grow and mature in His word. It is a mature Christian who can fight the good fight. Recall Phil. 4:13 'I can do all things through Jesus Christ my Lord who strengthens me.'
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
By faith, Christ lives in our heart so we who are rooted and grounded in love knows that God will do what ever we shall ask in his name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Brothers, this is an awesome covenant that God made with each of us his children. Can we ask anything more of our Heavenly Father than this. Mark 11:22 tells us to 'have faith in God.' Our inner man will keep you walking in faith, love, strength, power, joy, blessing, and all other gifts from God through Jesus and into our spirit.
Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Genesis 15:2 And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
Genesis 15:3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
Abram says to God, what will you give me since I go childless, except of mine only heir be with my hand maiden from Damascus. Here Abram was asking God who's word appeared to him in a vision, what will be my reward that you have promised to me.
Genesis 15:4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Genesis 15:7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
God says here that his son by his hand maiden will not be his heir. But, rather his seed shall number more than the stars in the heavens. God counted Abram's belief for righteousness here because Abram did not stager at God's promise to give Abram who was 99 years old and his wife Sarah who was also in her 90's the children who would be his heirs and their seed would number more that the stars.
Brothers, can you even imagine the faith that it took to accept this truth from God. We should not stagger at any truth of the Gospel of Christ that God and Jesus has promised us .
We are the seed of Abraham because of our faith in Jesus Christ. Praise God! We have been grafted into the vine. We are now a branch off of the vine which is Jesus Christ. We the branch bears the fruit. But, it is God who gives the rain and sunshine, bringing the increase into His kingdom.
We are to walk in Abraham's blessings, for our salvation from Jesus has made us his heirs. Brothers, we God's born again children will number more than the stars of heaven one day.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
We were without hope when we were lost and did not know Jesus or his word. We were aliens from the Jewish saints of Israel and did not have His covenants of promise. We were without God.
Now as born again children of God, through faith by grace, we have been grafted into the lineage of Abraham and we now share in his blessings. We are of the seed of Abraham. God now counts us as equals to the chosen Jewish people. "WOW"! God sees no difference in us when he looks upon us His children. He also calls us sons of God
Hebrews 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
God made a sworn oath that ALL promises of the Gospel are ours as his children.
GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HIM, NOT JUST BELIEVE IN HIM.
The Holy Spirit will give us all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding from both Jesus and God the Father.
Brothers, NEVER, NEVER open your bible without first asking the Holy Spirit to teach you. He and he alone is our teacher. Before you enter your chosen Santuary (Church) on your sabbath day ask him so show you all truth and He will.
Say, "Heavenly Father, I take my hearing, I have ears to here what the Lord my God would have me know", Amen.
