1Corinthians 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

1Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

1Corinthians 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

1Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Paul tells us here that your faith will not stand in the  wisdom of men, but in the power of God. We are to declare the testimony of God, not of men who were taught by men. But, by those who are taught by the Holy Spirit of God. That is to include you my brothers. For you are given an assignment by God, and he will give unto you his wisdom, knowledge and understanding. The Holy Spirit is your teacher. Pray each day when you set down and open your Bibles say, 'teach me all truth Holy Spirit, His word is truth, give unto me of God's wisdom', Amen.

1Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

Brothers, here Paul says in verse 6, that we speak wisdom to them that are perfect. Who is made perfect? We who are born again by the blood of Jesus. His word tells us that our sins are forgiven and forgotten, by His death, burial, and ressurection does God judge us perfect.

You see here that only our brothers in Christ Jesus can hear us our words and our preaching. Remember that to the world preaching God's Holy Word is foolishness. For the world can not comprehend the things of God. Therefore, we are to pray that the Holy Spirit would come upon the lost, and would convict them of their sins and there need for a Savour, Jesus our Lord. Paul tells us here that our words will come to nothing on the people of this world. Pray brothers, for the Holy Spirit of God to convict those who are lost.

1Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Verse 7 above says again that we (Christians) speak God's wisdom and that what we speak is a mystery to the unsaved world and is even hidden from them. But, is always revealed to us God's children.

1Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Brothers, we have received the spirit which is of God, not the spirit of this world, but of God the Creator, and Father of us all.

1Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

This is what is wrong with the wisdom of men. They do not know Jesus as Savour, but they think themselves wise having great wisdom and understanding. They can not teach anyone the truth because they themselves no not the truth. Truth is God's word. I have heard so many people try to describe what the bible was saying in this chapter or this verse, when they have no understanding of the Word of God because they have not been given wisdom, knowledge, and understanding by God, for they are yet lost and can not understand, until they are saved by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ.

1Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Brothers, in verse 16 above we are told that we have the mind of Christ. What does this mean? It means that we who are born again have access to both God and Jesus' mind through God's Holy Spirit who has came to dwell inside each of us who are his children.

We are told in our Bibles that we are joint heirs with Jesus, and that God has adopted us as His children. Therefore just as Jesus lived and taught the things of God in this world, so too can we. Jesus said that he could say nothing that He did not hear the Father say, nor do anything that He did not see the Father do. Unlike Jesus we can say and do ungodly things if we speak or walk in our flesh. We are however, to walk and speak in the Spirit, saying and doing what God tells us to say and what He shows us to do. So my brothers stay in God's word day and night and His Spirit which lives in you will teach you concerning all truth.

God Bless you my brothers in Christ Jesus,
