James Chapter 1

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Brothers we as children of God have to live this earth until we are called home to be with the Lord. But, the bible tells us that once we have accepted Jesus in our life that He abides (lives) inside us, and we live inside him.

So we are to count it joy when we fall into temptation. Verse 3 tells us that we should know that the trying of our faith works patience in us. Brothers, every born again child of God will have our faith tried, but we are overcomers, and the trying of our faith will only serve to make us stronger in faith.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

WOW! James tells us here that wisdom is ours and all we have to do to receive it is to ask God for it. Brothers, God knows all things and he will and does give that wisdom to you. His wisdom not only about his holy word but about anything that you desire to know. Anything!

James goes on to say.

6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7For let not that man think that he shall receive of the Lord.

8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

We are told here that we are to ask all thing of God in FAITH  and not to doubt that what we ask is ours. When you ask it is yours! After asking God for anything then thank him and praise him for it and go on your way knowing that it is yours. Faith is knowing. Remember brothers we walk by faith by sight.

If it does not come today or tomorrow that does not mean that your prayer was not answered for it was answered when you asked in faith. Faith is ongoing it does not come and go. So each day thank Him for your faith and for his grace shown in His answered prayer.

9Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

10But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

11For the sun with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

19Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Praise God! This is a lesson that we all must constantly practice. When something or someone offends our fleshly self it is our worldly nature to speak or react. But, when we take a moment (to hear and to resist speaking) then the thought of wrath will pass from us and our spirit will rise above our fleshly self and take control of us.

20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Brothers, we are to do His work not just to hear His word, but do what his word tells us to do. James tells us here that we walk in God's liberty when we do his work and forget not his word. Hear His word and do not forget that word. But, rather go through each day doing that word.

26If any man among you seem to be and bridleth his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Verse 26 tells us that when we speak with wrath to anyone or anything then we have reacted to the situation in flesh or as a human as a child of God. Do not deceive your own heart by not being slow to speak.

27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictionand to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you.

Now for what God showed me in the above two photographs. I took the photographs during an approaching early winter storm. The temperature dropped from 45 degrees centigrade to 26 degrees in only 20 minutes. I took some 50 or more pictures during this span of time.
After I loaded the images from my camera to my computer when I arrived home I saw the above images.
God showed me a long series of clouds that I had been capturing on camera.
No formatting was used to change the images in any way.

Look upon the 1st image and see the image of a man moving across the sky with hands outstretched.

Then look at the second image and see that same image of the man now carrying a little lamb upon his shoulder.
Brothers, cold chills covered my body as I was shown this vision from God.
There is no doubt that this vision caught on camera is of Jesus carrying you and me through this life here on earth.
But, I believe it is also showing us that he is coming soon to take us home to be with Jesus, God the Father and all of the saints of God.
What an awesome God we do serve.
