Brothers, please know that all promises that God made to Israel are also made to us the Church. The covenants, and promises made here in the book of Isiah 54:9-17 are some of my favorites. These verses are especially needed in this day in which we walk with Christ Jesus through this life. These verses are only a few of many that are for you and I.

9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

Here the Lord says that he will never be wroth (angry, or upset) with you or I. He also says that he will not rebuke (chastise or punish) you or I. This verse alone should give us great peace, and joy because we now know that when we face trials or troubles of any kind in this life that it did not come from God. For he has promised us that He will not be angry with us nor punish us for those times that we fall short in our Christ like walk with the Lord our God.

The devil will, perhaps more than anything else, try to lead you into self condemnation. He will try to convince you that God is both angry with you, and is punishing you. If he is successful in you condemning your self then you have lost the peace and joy that God has given you. Don't allow the devil or anyone which he try's to use to bring self condemnation to you. Brothers, the bible tells us plainly that He will not do this thing to you or I.

10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

God tell us here that the mountains and the hills of this earth shall be removed. But, His kindness, and his peace shall never be removed form  us. Brothers, can you say NEVER. That is what God has promised you here.

11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

God is telling you and I here that when we were lost we knew affliction of many kinds. We were also tossed about by the winds of this life which blew in, and out of our lives before we knew Jesus as Lord and Savior. But, now we are as precious stones in his eyes. We are of great value to the Lord our God, and he now caries us above the cares of this life. We walk in his promise of peace, and happiness, because even though we are still in this world we are not subject to the curses of this world, because He has sent His Son Jesus to make us righteous in his eyes.

12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Again we are told that you and I are precious jewels of great value to God.

13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

We and our children who are taught of the Lord shall know, and live in GREAT PEACE!!

14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

Brothers, we have been established in righteousness. We were, and are made righteous by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ who died for us. Jesus did not die in vain! He will not have to come back to this earth to die again. God forbid.

Please get this great truth, and promise from God. You and I are righteous. Oppression shall not come near to you or I. You will not fear anything or anyone, and God tells us clearly here that we are to know no fear nor terror of any kind. He says that none of these things shall come upon you or I. You and I will not be oppressed, nor will we no fear or terror, because God will not allow these things to come near you.

Brothers if these things are in your life then you allowed the devil to put them there. So cast them out of your life now, and keep the promise that God has made to you.

15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

God tells us that our enemy's will gather together, and come against you and I. But, he says that those who come against us will fall. They will fail every time, because God has placed His protection around us by this covenant, and promise which he has freely given to us. We don't have to earn it. We have it now.

16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Here He calls our enemy's the waster, and He says that they have weapons, but their weapons are useless against us. We can just laugh at their failed attempts to harm us.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

God tells us here that no weapon formed against us will prosper. He says that every  tongue that shall rise up against us in gossip, condemnation, false judgment, You are to condemn these things when you see them. Jesus paid the price, He fought the battle for us, and Jesus won that battle. Why would you or I walk in self condemnation, fear, terror, or unhappiness.

Brothers, we are the victor here. We are loved by God. We are made righteous in the blood of Jesus. God promises us peace, joy, love, salvation, and so many more things in His Holy Word.

Never allow the devil or anyone that he is using to bring defeat of any kind into your life, for all of these things are not from God.

God Bless you my brothers,

John Hipp
