2Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Brothers, in verse 3 we are told here that God has given us all things pertaining to both life and godliness. He gives us this through His knowledge by calling us to both glory and virtue. Do you see that we already have this. He does not say that He will give it to us, but rather that he already has given us life, godliness, glory and virtue. Praise God!

In verse 4 God says to us here that we have His exceeding great and precious promises. With these promises we should receive and take His divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in this world through lust of every kind and is continually surrounding us in this life. For we are not of this world, but are in this world living life through God the Father as his children. Jesus our Lord makes intercessions for us every day and every time that we pray to God the Father.

1Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

We are to exercise our godliness, for this is profitable to us unto all things that we do and say both in this life and in the life to come.

2Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

God dwells inside us who are born again through the precious cleansing blood of Jesus. We are His temple, He lives inside us. Verse 16 says that God has said 'I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.' PRAISE GOD! Please, my brothers, get this once, and for all time keep this in your heart and in your renewed mind.

2Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Read these scriptures every day until it is ingrained in your hearts and minds.

God Bless you my brothers,
