Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

My Brothers, we are saved by grace through our faith in Christ Jesus so that we will not boast because salvation is a gift from god. We can do no works unto salvation, for if we could then we would boast about it, and we are to be humble not proud or puffed up.

Psalm 25:9  He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.

Jesus will teach us and lead us if we are humble before the Lord. God bless our daily walk with him for by being humble God will exalt us that we may set with him.

James 4:10  Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Luke 14:8-11  “When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this person,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Brothers, we are told here not to think proud of yourself, but rather to choose the path of humbleness to walk through in this life. Be humble in all of your ways that God may exalt you.

Proverbs 16:18-19  Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Luke 18:10-14  “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Romans 12:10  Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Brothers we are to show honor, and affection to our brothers in Christ Jesus. This does not mean those who worship in your Sanctuary, but everyone who lifts up Jesus as their Lord and Savior, no matter what house of worship they choose to worship in.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Humble yourself, and pray, and seek God's face. Turn from your wicked ways that you have learned from this world. He will hear you from heaven, and will forgive your sin, and then he will heal your land.

1 John 1:8  If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

We all have sin in our lives so we are to humble our selves before the Lord and ask for His forgiveness. We are then to walk every day in humbleness, and when we fail then ask Him, and be forgiven once again.

Romans 3:23  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

All of us fall short because we sin. Repent, in humbleness before God, and then continue your humble walk before Him. We will become more and more humble over time, and humbleness will be our nature before our brothers, and our heavenly Father.

God Bless you my brothers,

John Hipp
