HYPOCRISY, Message #2

Brothers, Jesus is teaching us here in these verses of Matthew Chapter 7, to look at our own sins, before we point out our brothers sins.

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Matthew 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

If we judge our brothers sin without confessing to God our own sins, He will judge us. He also tells us here that how we measure our brothers, then that is the way God will measure us. How you see others is how God will see you.

Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Jesus tells us here that we are not able to pull the splinter out of our brothers eye, (in other words to help our brother to over come his iniquities) until we first remove the large beam, (that is our sin in our own lives), from our own eyes.

We are not able to see clearly what our brother has need of until we recognize, repent, and walk beyond our own iniquities.

Matthew 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?Matthew 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

We are hypocrites if we judge our brothers without first judging ourselves!

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

If we offer God's Holy Word, to our brothers in order to help him, without first looking inwardly at our own sins, then He tells us here that we are casting our pearls before swine, which is the word of God in this parable. Then the swine, our brothers in sin, will trample under feet, God's word that you have shared with him, and then turn and rend you.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Brothers, God will forgive us our sins, we only need to ask him to do so, then we can help our brothers in Christ Jesus. We have many brothers in great need this day. But, we will only be able to help them by first going to God in prayer and then receiving forgiveness from out own sins. Now we can be of help to ALL of our Brothers in Christ Jesus.

God Bless you my brothers,
