LOVE ONE ANOTHER
Brothers I will teach you now the commandments that Jesus himself has given to you and I. He says in verse 34 & 35 of John Ch. 13 that this is a new commandment that we love one another as Jesus has loved you. He says that you and I are to love one another in the same way that Jesus has loved us.
Brothers, Jesus loved us so much that He died for us in order that we should never die, but rather live forever through out all eternity. Praise God!
Brothers Jesus told us here in the 12th Ch. of Mark exactly how much we were to love the Lord thy God. We are to love him with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength: Jesus then told us that this was the first commandment given to you and I.
He then said that the second commandment was this. We shall love our neighbor as our self. Brothers your neighbor is whomever that you are standing next too in every hour of every day. Yes he is also those who live close to you, and those who work alone side you. Those who shop alone side you, and those who walk or drive alone side of you. These are all your neighbors.
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through
the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another
with a pure heart fervently.
We purify our souls in obeying this truth. The very Spirit of God has come to abide in each of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus also abides inside us. The Holy Spirit shows you and I all truth of how we are to have unfeigned love of the brethren. He tells us to see that you love one another with a pure heart.
Brothers, Jesus tells us here that there are those scribes which love to go in long clothing, and also love being greeted in the marketplaces. He says for us to beware of these.
He goes on to say that they also desire the chief seats in the synagogues, and the upper most rooms at feasts.
Jesus says that they also devour widows houses, and for pretense make long prayers. These men will remove widows from their houses. He makes one last statement about these men who know no meekness, and have no love for their brothers, or their neighbors.
Jesus says that these shall receive the greater damnation.
These men are not loving their brothers in Christ nor are they loving their neighbors.
God bless you my brothers in Christ Jesus. Try every day to walk through this life loving our brothers, and neighbors as the Lord God loves us.
