OUR GREAT HOPE
IMMORTALITY

1st CORINTHIANS
CHAPTER 15
Verses 44-58
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

Mystery and Victory
I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
"O death, where is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Brothers, the above fourteen verses of 1st Corinthians Chapter fifteen are another of many of God's promises to each of us his children, the sons of God, who know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit told me to share these verses to you in this way, with unnumbered verses. Sometimes it is good to read God's Holy Word without each verse being numbered. The number of each verse is used only for reference, so that we may either return to it easily or quote it to another easily, that he or she may go quickly to that verse.
The Holy Spirit showed me that these verses read more like it was spoken, when the individual verses are unnumbered.
I seek to gain the whole truth of God's infallible Word as I share with you, the messages that God gives me to both teach you, and to lift you up to the fullness of God the Father, through the teaching of Jesus and His disciples.
We are taught plainly here that we are made imperishable and immortal because we know Jesus as Lord and Savior. The first man Adam became a living being, and the last man Jesus became a life giving spirit. It was Jesus who made our spirit man to be immortal. We who in the flesh are perishable, are in our spirit made imperishable.
Brothers, if we are alive when Jesus appears we shall be changed in an instant to put on immortality in our new heavenly bodies. Bodies that will neither become frail with each passing year nor ever no the sting of death. Only the lost who die will know deaths sting. Those who pass from this life to our eternal lives, before Jesus appears for the catching away of us His church, will instantly be with the Lord our God in their new immortal bodies. His children will never know the sting of death.

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
"O death, where is your sting?”

PRAISE GOD!

God Bless you my brothers,

John Hipp
