PSALM 91 - A PROMISE FROM GOD FOR YOU AND I

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Brothers, it is you and I who now live in the secret place of the most High, and it is you and I who shall, abide or live, under the shadow of the Almighty God, our heavenly Father.

Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

You and I will say of the LORD, He, Jesus is my refuge, He is my fortress, He is my God, and in him only will I trust.

Psalm 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

We will say, surely He our Lord, our God, shall deliver you and I from the snare of the fowler, which is satin, and from satin's noisome pestilence (or persecution) Our Lord shall deliver us every time, and in every situation.

Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Brothers, God shall cover you and I with his feathers, and we shall be protected under His wings. We, you and I, will trust in the Lord our God, and His truth (His WORD), is your shield and buckler (your armor).

Psalm 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

You and I are not afraid of the terror by night, and we are not afraid of any arrows that fly in day, for we are protected by our God!

Psalm 91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

No pestilence from satin that walks in the night or in the day shall ever harm you and I.

Psalm 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

We, you and I, may see a thousand people fall at our side, and even ten thousand at our right hand, but it shall not come against us. WOW! You and I are blessed to abide under His wings, and under ALL of His Word, His Truth.

Psalm 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

It is only with your eyes that you will see and behold the reward of the wicked. You will not experience any evil thing.

Psalm 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

We, you and I, have made the LORD, the most High, our refuge. We live inside Jesus and He, Jesus lives inside you and I.
No sword formed against you or I will prosper.

Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

No evil shall befall you and I, and no plague (sickness, disease, pestilence nor curse), shall prevail against you or I. These evil things will not come near our house, our body, our mind, nor our sanctuary. We have been delivered from all of these by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just as He died for our sins on the cross, He also bore all that the devil had power over for us, you and I. Brothers, you and I are saved by the cleansing blood of Jesus, and protected from satin and all that he can do unto the lost of this world. Jesus gave us authority over satin. Jesus defeated satin and his demons, so that you and I would never know defeat of any kind at satin's hands.

Psalm 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

We are protected by God's angels, and they have been given charge over you and I, to keep us in all of our walk through this life.

Psalm 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Your angels shall lift you up in their hands, so that we, you and I, will not stumble over a stone that is in our path.

Psalm 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet

God tells us here that we, you and I, His children can walk upon the lion and the serpent, that we can trample these under our feet and not be harmed.

Brothers in these last three verses of Psalm 91 the Lord our God is speaking to us, you and I. God says that because we have loved Him, He will deliver us. He says that because we have known Him, He will deliver us from all things..

Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Psalm 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

He says that when we call upon Him that He will answer us. You and I will receive answers from God in times of trouble, and He will deliver us every time. He also says that He will honor us. WOW! God will honor you and I because we love him.

Psalm 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Brothers, I would ask that you read this book of Psalm 91 into your life each day. Until you know this promise, from God for you, by heart. By doing this you will know what to speak at anytime that trouble would come near you or yours. We are protected, by His Holy Word and His promises of this book and many others in the Holy Bible, from satin and from the world.

God Bless you my brothers.
