SAFELY

2nd Corinthians 4:1-18

1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Brothers, the gospel truth may be hidden from the lost of this world, but that does not mean that we do not have an assignment to speak God's word to this lost world.

We all have a ministry just as the disciples were telling the Church at Corinth that they had a ministry to complete. We are to continue speaking to every man's conscience, and we are not to faint, but continue to walk Christ like in our daily walk with Jesus teaching the gospel truth. It is he who will give us our work to do for his sake.

He has baptized us into both himself, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who will bring conviction to the lost just as He did to each of us who know Jesus as their Lord, and Savior.

My friends we must continue to teach the gospel to everyone who will listen. We may not see that person that we witness too, accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But, that does not mean that the Holy Spirit will not use your testimony to bring conviction to that lost person.

It may be that after you have walked away from that lost sole, that a great conviction will fall upon him or her, and they will repent of their sins, and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Remember that our teaching the gospel is not that we may be glorified, but rather that God may be glorified. After all it is his very own Spirit who convicts the lost, and Jesus Christ who saves. Praise God!

4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Our own spirit deep inside each of us is our earthen vessel which houses this treasure that God gives to each of His children.

Do you see again in verse four above that God has blinded the mind of those which believe not upon both God, and Jesus.

Brothers the lost can read the Holy Bible from cover to cover a hundred times, and they will not gain understanding of what the bible is saying. They must believe upon God the Father, accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and the only way to eternal life, and they must fall under conviction of their sins, and infirmities brought unto them by God's very on Holy Spirit.

We are the light that God has commanded to shine out of the darkness of this lost world. We are His light, that He shined in our spiritual hearts. We are given God's knowledge, and now have the glory of God living inside each of us who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Brothers the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus is the very image of God, shining through us. We are the servants of Jesus our Lord.

The excellency of the power of God, through his mercy, is given to us his children.

8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

My dearly beloved brothers in Jesus Christ please see below that we both live, and walk in safety.

9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Wow, what a very strong statement indeed!

We are not forsaken when trouble comes, and we will never be cast down nor forsaken by God. He promises to deliver us each, and every time. Jesus will always be made manifest in our spiritual body.

This old fleshly body may suffer infirmities, but our spiritual body living inside each of His saved men, and women will always overcome, and will never fall.

My brothers we do now, and always will dwell safely in the rock who is Jesus Christ.

12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

Always give thanks unto God. Thanksgiving unto God is for our sakes, that His grace might rebound to God that we would always glorify Him in all that we say and do.

16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Therefore my brothers in Christ Jesus we will not faint. Our outward man may perish, and die, but our inward man will be renewed day by day. Our affliction is light, and will last but for a moment. It works for our witness to both our brothers, and the lost. We dwell safely always in our Lord Jesus.

18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Remember always my brothers that our faith is not on those things that we see, but rather our faith in built on those things which we see not with our fleshly eyes, but rather we see with our spiritual eyes. Those things which we can both see, touch, and possess are only temporary. Therefore it is our love and faith in those things which are not seen that are indeed eternal. These eternal possessions are freely given to us His children because we trust in, and know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and we are joint heirs with Jesus.

God Bless you my brothers. Continue to dwell safely in Christ Jesus.
