STAND IN HIS GRACE
1Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Brothers, we as children of God, must stand in his grace. His grace is sufficient to sustain us in our speaking his praise, in ministering to others his promises and his love. God has given you the ability to stand and to speak of his great grace for us his children.
1Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Brothers, you and I will have fiery trials in our lives, with some being a more difficult trial. But, these trials do not come into our lives because of our wrongdoing, as some would have you believe. But, rather they come into our lives to strengthen us, in that we are made partakers of Christ's suffering. We are to rejoice and be happy in these trials because we are shown through these that our God is more than sufficient to deliver us through all things. God is glorified and He rests upon us each and every time, we grow closer to him and he grows closer to us.
1Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
1Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
1Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
If a man suffer as a Christian for Jesus' sake, then praise God for the love that He has shown you.
1Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
My brothers, if the righteous are barely saved, then where do they stand our from the sinner and the ungodly? Do you see that our testing in this life is to strengthen us as we grow in our faith toward God our deliverer. This is why He tells us to rejoice in our testing. Praise God!
1Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
1Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
Brothers, we are told here to take the responsibility of feeding the flock of God willingly with a willing mind, and not for money's sake.
1Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
We are not to act as a lord over God's children who are not yet reached the maturity in His word as you have, but rather we are to teach by being an example to the flock. They should see Christ Jesus in your daily walk with God.
1Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Brothers, you younger children of God are to submit yourself unto the elder Christian that you may see and know by his example how you are to walk Christ like. If you see the elder doing wrong, then question him, and if his answer is contrary to the teaching of Jesus our Lord, then rebuke him, and follow after one who leads the flock by example in all humbleness, and not in a prideful way or as a lord over them.
1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Brothers, reread the above verse. Do you see that the devil walks about AS a roaring line. He is not a lion. Jesus pulled every tooth from the head of this want a be lion! He is defeated, and without any authority over you. All that he can do is to bring doubt, and only then if you receive that doubt. Do not take any negative doubtful thought from this toothless want a be lion. He can't even gum you to death. He is powerless over you for you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and he is your savior for ever, and your deliverer through any and all trials.
1Peter 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1Peter 5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
God Bless you my brothers in Christ Jesus,
