Matthew Chapter 5

Brothers, I offer here the words of Jesus as he spoke plainly to his disciples. Jesus spoke these words for us as well. He taught us here to walk as he himself had walked, and he also taught us how we were to react to our enemies, and to the evil which we see so clearly in this day.

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Brothers, these first twelve verses of chapter five of the book of Mathew certainly speak to us who try to walk Christ like in this day in which we now live.

He plainly tells us here that in him will we be comforted in the times in which we morn.
When we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we will be filled. He says that when we show mercy to others then we will be shown mercy by the Father our God.
Jesus tells us in verse 10 that when we are persecuted for righteousness sake that we should count ourselves blessed of God, for the kingdom of heaven shall be ours.

I can not recall a time in our life time in which we Christians are so persecuted for believing in God the creator, and lifting up the name of Jesus as our Lord and Savour.
Never in America has that been the case in years past. But, brothers we are so very close to the day of Jesus' appearing that the evil men, and women of this country now is common place. They openly persecute us Christians, and seek to destroy all that is godly, and righteous.

Our Christian brothers around the world are persecuted much more than we are here in America. These brothers and sisters are put to death if they do not denounce Jesus Christ.
Many Christians in these other countries must worship our God underground, and secretively.
That is not the case here in America yet, but that day is coming so very fast.
We all must lift up prayers for our brothers and sisters around this world. Jesus tells us that he sits at the right hand of God, and that he will make intercessions to the Father on our behalf.
WOW! Who is more righteous than our Lord and Savior. We know that whatever the Son shall ask of God the Father it shall be done.

So brothers please, please lift up all Christians around the world in this hour. As I have told you in messages past it is so very, very late.

God bless you my brothers in Christ Jesus,

John Hipp
