UNITY OF THE SPIRIT
Ephesians Chapter 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
Brothers, we are told here in the forth chapter of Ephesians that the Lord our God beseech's you and I, that we are to walk worthy in the assignment of our calling.
You and I have been called by God and Jesus himself. We have been given an assignment to complete before His soon appearing.
I do not know your assignment, but if you will ask him to show you your assignment, He will tell you.
This is my assignment and as I have told you before, I am to teach my brothers everywhere that we are to be one just as Jesus prayed to His heavenly Father in John chapter seventeen. He prayed that we would be one just as He and the Father are one.
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Brothers, we are to love one another as Jesus has loved you and I. We are to become, and stay united in the holy Spirit which unites us in peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Brothers, we are one body, and one spirit this is what we are to become each and every day.
Our calling is to be as one. We have only one Lord, we are one faith, and one baptism. There is only one God and Father of us all. He is above all, and through all, and in you all.
When you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savour you where brought into the oneness of God and Jesus. This my brothers is where you are to be one with all who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and the only way to eternal life.
Do not let a brother who has been deceived by satin separate you from your brother in Christ Jesus.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Brothers He gave you a gift and if you do not know what your gift is then ask Him, and He will tell you. Then you can use that give to His glory as He intended.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Some of us are given the gift of becoming one of the above five ministries. But, not all are to be working in one of these five ministries. There are many more ministries that you can serve in to the glory of God. Ask him how he would have you use the gift that he has given you. He will show you!
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Brothers, walk in His truth. His word is truth.
By his grace, through our faith, our soles are secure.
