WHAT FAITH IS
Mark 11:23-24 Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Matthew 21:21-22 Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Luke 6:46-49 Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke 6:47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. Luke 6:49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
James 1:22-24 James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Brothers, Faith is laying hold of unrealized hope, and bringing those things hoped for into reality, by acting on God's Word. We speak faith into action, by speaking His word and our hope into faith, and then we go on our way knowing that God keeps His word.
Do you see that our faith must be acted upon after we speak it. The devil will say to you, 'you are still sick, you have not been healed.' When unbelieve rises up by doubt inside of you, and wants you to accept that unbelieve. Say, 'devil God's Word tells me that you are a liar, and that their is no truth in you. Jesus gave me authority over you, and I will walk in my authority. My faith is in the Lord my God, and it is He whom I will believe.
Once again, faith is laying hold of those things that you hope for, and bringing those things into reality.
The principles of faith are the same in any area of your life. Receiving your salvation by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, receiving the Holy Spirit to live inside you, receiving your healing, your prosperity, Gods protection over your family, etc.
All of this is received and acted upon by faith. You have received the measure of faith needed for all of these things. The greatest act of faith that you have already done is to know that Jesus died for your sins, and that you will be with him in heaven when you leave this earth. All other faith is small compared to this act of faith. No one could convince you that you were not saved. So don't let anyone bring doubt against you for those things that you receive from God by faith. Believe and walk in your faith.
Always remember that God and Jesus never fails. Faith changes everything. So go about building and exercising your faith. Believe on the Word of God. Believing and acting upon His Word will cause the things of your faith to materialize.
Faith always says, 'it is mine, I have it now.' Faith never relents or looks back.
Brothers, make this your confession today and every day. "I am not moved by what I see; I am moved only by what I believe!"
As Jesus said, faith without works is dead. Healed people should act healed, Saved people should act saved. Brothers, get busy and act on Gods Word NOW!
Luke 5:18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. Luke 5:19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
Do you see that it was their acting upon their faith, and bringing the sick man before Jesus that he was healed. Brothers, action is required by us, speaking Gods promise, and believing that we have it. Seeing it is not required by us in order that we know that it has come to pass. We speak it, we believe it, we walk in that thing that was hope, and now is coming to pass. Go forward without looking back, for our faith by our works is life.
Gods Word is a promise from God, but it is also a statement fact.
I will have more messages on faith over the next week. I appreciate you one, and all, individually and as a group. Brothers, please continue to pray for the lost, and for our brothers in Christ Jesus. Also pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem as God has told us his children to do always.
God Bless you my brothers,
