COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM
2 Corinthians 6:14 ESV / Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Brothers, the question is asked of us. Light and darkness has no fellowship. A righteous person should not partner with lawlessness. We are not to yoke ourselves with unbelievers. We must witness to them as the Spirit prompts us to, but we are not to tie ourselves to them.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,
Romans 16:17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
We are to avoid those who create obstacles contrary to what you have been taught; avoid them.
2 Corinthians 6:14-16 ... What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Do not align yourself with those who worship idols.
Isaiah 52:11 Depart, depart, go out from there; touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.
1 Peter 1:16 Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
James 4:4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Brothers, we are not to go as the world goes. Do not be a friend to the world, because the world is the enemy of God. Therefore if you do as the world does, then you are God's enemy.
Re-read the above verse James 4:4. You are not of this world. Don't follow after this world. He could not have made it more clear than He did in this verse.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
God Bless you my brothers,
