LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Jesus said here that the kingdom of God can not be seen coming. Neither shall they say that it is over here or over there for the kingdom of God is within you.
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom of God. Do you see here that when we receive the gospel as the truth of the word of God then the kingdom of God comes to live inside you.
Praise God! the gospel truth of God's word lives inside us. The kingdom of God lives inside those of us who are saved. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior lives inside each of us, and God's very own Holy Spirit has come to live inside each of us who know Jesus.
Do you see brothers that we have all of these gifts from God inside us to both teach us, and to walk through this life with his abounding love and His Holy Word living inside each of us. We have His power, his peace, his joy, his strength, and his truth inside us. There is no excuse to walk as the world walks because we have all of this living inside each of us to both guide, and teach us. So when we fail and we all do. Then we repent and continue to ask God to give us his wisdom, his knowledge, and his understanding that we may grow in spirit each and every day.
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
We know the mysteries of God because we live in his kingdom and his kingdom lives inside us. The world must here the gospel in parables for they have not received the truth of his holy word.
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
Jesus tells us here that the kingdom of God is seed which is cast into the ground. His gospel truth, his wisdom and his knowledge will grow inside us if we desire and feed, God's Holy Word into our spirit, and soul.
And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
There is nothing like the kingdom of God, and we have nothing to compare it to. The kingdom of God is perfect just as Jesus was, and is perfect.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Praise God my brothers. We will not taste death for we have seen and know the power of the kingdom of God which now lives inside each of us His children.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Jesus tells us here that those who have two eyes, but do not believe will be cast into hell because they have denied Jesus as the only begotten Son of God. It is their lack of belief that does condemn themselves. God does not condemn them, but rather they condemn themselves.
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God does hold and teach us as little children. His precious kingdom resides in us his children.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Brothers we received the kingdom of God by faith as a little child. A small child does not doubt or not believe what you tell them. They trust completely that you teach them the truth. So to do we trust in God's Holy Word just as a little child does trust.
And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Jesus repeats the above verses twice in 10:23 and 10:24 because it is that important that you hear what he is saying to each of us. Brothers do you see that it is extremely hard for men with great riches to trust in God completely as a child would trust. For this rich man believes that he has attained these riches by his own intellect and great effort on his part. This man can rarely trust God to provide for his every need as his Holy Word tells us that he will.
We must trust God as a child would trust. If we do not then we are depending upon ourselves for all of our needs. As children of God we live in his kingdom, in his wisdom, in his knowledge, in the truth of his Holy Word, and all of these things live inside each of us. We do not wait on the kingdom of God, for his kingdom is already here inside each of us his children.
Brothers there is nothing that we can not do because God, his Holy Spirit, and Jesus himself are inside each of us along with the kingdom of God.
God Bless each of you my brothers in Christ Jesus, and my soon to be brothers in Christ.
